Tasting notes

Our Opinion – This Châteauneuf-du-Pape displays roundness, bitter accents and lively acidity, each balancing one other in a class of its own! Poignant and floral at opening, velvety stone fruit notes then come together step by step. Everything is a whisper of flavours, finesse and serenity. Between minerality and saline accents, the finish is reminiscent of the terroir of its origins.

Press review

Jeb Dunnuck 92/100 – Starting with the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vendange Blanc, this richer, honeyed, slightly modern style white boasts a terrific nose of poached pears, caramelized citrus, and toasted spices to go with a medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced and textured style on the palate.

It plays in the richer end of the spectrum and is going to shine on the dinner table. I suspect it will keep for a solid 5-7 years, if not upwards of a decade or more. The blend is 60% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, and the rest Bourboulenc and Clairette, brought up all in new barrels.

Description

A perfectionist’s wine where refined creaminess, bitter nuances and lively acidity are balanced together with incredible class! Poignant and floral at the opening, notes of stone fruit emerge on the palate without making noise. Everything is whispering flavors, finesse, and serenity. Mineral and persistently saline, the finish recalls the terroir of its origins.
